Starting in September, Margam Green Energy is opening its doors to visits from bona fide community groups and students over the age of 11 (Year 7). It’s an opportunity for people to see how the renewable energy power station operates – from first receiving waste wood, through to its burning and generation of renewable electricity for homes and businesses.
Visits are to be held one day per month – one in the morning, one in the afternoon. Groups are limited to 12 people, with the visit lasting two hours. As there are stairs and gantries, each visitor must be able to walk unaided. Strict health and safety guidelines must be adhered to at all times.
