Tata Steel Bowls Club is the latest sports club in the area surrounding the Margam Green Energy Plant to benefit from the Margam Green Energy Community Benefit Fund. The bowls club received a grant of £6000 from the Fund to buy a lawn mower, a hedge strimmer, an access ramp, ladies and junior bowls and a series of coaching courses.
Pictured below are members of the bowls club with pupils from Ysgol Cwm Brombil school enjoying their first ‘come and try’ bowls session.
The Community Fund is provided by Schroders Greencoat, the owners of Margam Green Energy and is administered by Neath Port Talbot Council. The fund supports projects (to a maximum of £6,000) within the Taibach & Margam ward of Neath Port Talbot Council.
